Surpassing Taylor Swift, Drake became the artist with the third most number-one albums in Billboard history

Drake owns his 13th album reaching No. 1 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart.

Billboard has confirmed that Drake’s latest album, For All the Dogs, has become number one on the Billboard 200 chart this week. This is also the 13th album the male rapper has done this throughout his career.

Thus, Drake surpassed Taylor Swift to become the artist with the third number-one albums in Billboard history. The top position still belongs to the legendary The Beatles with 19 albums, followed by Jay-Z with 14 albums.

This week, Drake’s new album brought in 402,000 equivalent album units in the US, marking the 4th largest album sales of the year for an album. Notably, 97% of units were driven by streaming, plus 514.01 million radio requests in its first week of release. This makes For All the Dogs the biggest streaming week of 2023 and the 4th best in history. More notably, of the top 5 most-streamed weeks, 4 belonged to Drake’s albums.

Although he is still extremely loved by the audience, Drake plans to pause his activities for a while to focus on his health. “I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach. Thus, For All the Dogs will most likely be the male rapper’s last album in the next few years.
