Travis Scott is approaching the release of his first album in four years by recreating an iconic album cover from the band, thus making an unsubtle reference to The Beatles.
Travis was reportedly observed Thursday in London, near the renowned Abbey Road studios, where he also recorded, traversing the same crosswalk that The Beatles utilized to create their “Abbey Road” album… as he prepares to release his “Utopia” album.
Evidently, Travis traversed the street accompanied by his security personnel, one of whom was adorned with the patented “Utopia” satchel. Travis’ crew consisted of four individuals, mirroring the renowned album cover photograph which features John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison.Travis’ rendition places him in the same position as Paul, except he is not barefoot like the legendary Beatles singer.Travis is nearing the release of “Utopia”; he hinted the album this week in a new Nike advertisement featuring tennis legend John McEnroe and a briefcase containing the master recording. A visit to Abbey Road is further evidence of this. The frenzy surrounding “Utopia” is undeniably comparable to Beatlemania; therefore, Travis is being extraordinarily inventive. While an official release date for “Utopia” has yet to be determined, Travis will be performing the track at the forthcoming Rolling Loud Miami and has already provided a preview to the Houston Astros.
