After revealing the tracklist for their upcoming album, Too Good to Be True, Rick Ross and Meek Mill, fellow members of the Maybach Music Group, brought their eagerly anticipated collaborative album one step closer.
Future, DJ Khaled, Fabolous, Teyana Taylor, The-Dream, Jeremih, French Montana, and other artists are featured on the album, which has 17 tracks. Fans of MMG will also witness Ross, Meek, and Wale reunited on “Fine Lines.” Touted as MMG’s top recruits in the early 2010s, Wale and Meek’s turbulent careers—which included critically acclaimed albums like Ambition (2011) and Dreams & Nightmares (2012)—solidified Ross’ MMG empire.
“Shaq and Kobe” and “Lyrical Eazy,” two of Ross and Meek’s singles from Too Good to Be True, have been released thus far. In October, the MMG team remixed the former, showcasing their lyricism with NBA talents Damian Lillard and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal.
The first release from Ross and Meek off Gamma will be Too Good to Be True, following the “Hustling” star’s move of MMG to Larry Jackson’s recently established label. Breyon Prescott, executive vice president of content at Gamma, was instrumental in persuading Ross to join the organization.
“I am excited about our partnership with Gamma because, as you know, Breyon and I have been making money together for a long time and, more importantly, we have always been able to do great business,” Ross stated in a news release. “For both Larry and myself, it’s a significant move to be in our current positions. It is only fitting that we unite and do some HISTORIC actions.
