Lil Wayne and Lil Durk have never been on the same wavelength. But going forward, this song might make a difference. To be honest, it surprises me a lot that they haven’t collaborated. Their styles seem like they would go together rather nicely. Sadly, though, we don’t yet have one. But perhaps now that “Smurk Carter” is out, Weezy will take notice of this.

We say that because it’s pretty obvious who influenced Durk for his new song if you listen to it. His voice even has a trace of the rapper from Louisiana in its accent. However, the flow must give the biggest nod. The cadence somehow conjures the spirit of vintage Wayne.

We learned two days ago, on November 8, that Lil Durk would be releasing this song. At a SiriusXM + Pandora Playback event, he did just that. The deluxe edition of Almost Healed has not yet been released. This may be your first encounter with it. Though he did say it would return in August, we do not yet know the exact release date.
