The Too Good To Be True album, which Meek Mill and Rick Ross co-wrote, has received mixed reviews for its first week of sales.
Although the project is expected to sell between 30,000 and 35,000 copies in its first seven days, which is less than some fans had anticipated, the Philadelphia rapper clarified on Sunday, November 12, that he and Rozay “own” the album, thus they are playing a different game than the one the industry has traditionally set up.
“Ross and I are expected to sell 35k in the first week. If it said 350k, I would post. We release songs on Fridays because I’m too polite and wealthy to be rapping in a controlled music atmosphere. It just doesn’t make sense,” he tweeted.
“Now that we all own our music, we’re building the technology to sign people up for our own subscription services and we’re going to let the consumer decide whether or not rap is doing well.”
The project is going platinum in the streets, Meek added, adding, “The streets adore this record too! I’m using every last bit of my talent now that I own all of my music! Top-notch rap for the victors and hustlers! Put “ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE,” which is owned by “William Roberts X Robert Williams DiRTto [sic] BY:GAMMA,” on screen.

I’ve always hated being on billboards. Many of the guys they advertised in front of us aren’t able to make $100,000 these days. I would also like that market if people think that, though. Lol, I’m hungry. This link: t.co/QKmD9G7ZI2

Meek also discussed how social media is causing people’s mentаl health to deteriorate on Sunday, which had his Twitter fingers going overtime.
“Being psychologically ill while idly daydreaming about other people’s lives on social media! I’ve seen a lot of folks experience it! It resembles the zоmbie effect with clout,” he added.
