DJ Khaled is renowned for his unwavering optimism and lack of regrets. He did, however, make one statement about Drake in an interview with Shannon Sharpe.
In a recent interview with Sharpe for the Club Shay Shay podcast, Khaled revealed that the DJ and producer were unaware that Drizzy had direct messaged him on MySpace years prior.
Khaled started, “Drake told me a long time ago that he used to hit me on MySpace.” “Plus, I had no idea how to use that MySpace stuff.”
He trailed off as he considered the lost chance, saying, “I say to myself, oh my God, if I had an opportunity to sign a Drake, or work with Drake before Drake was Drake.”
However, Khaled clarified that he was pleased that The Boy had messaged him in the past.
“It merely demonstrates his admiration for me as a producer, a DJ, and an artist,” the man remarked (Khaled produced tracks under the alias “Beat Novacaine”). “He had love for me through the music I was doing. And given that’s one of the most well-known performers in the world, that’s really awesome. Just so you know, he was also listening to DJ Khaled prior to his explosion.
