Travis Scott, a singer-songwriter, witnessed the Utah Jazz’s home game against the Portland Trailblazers prior to his concert on Wednesday.
Scott was also in SLC in January and February of this year for a number of All-Star events.
Tuesday marked the inaugural home appearance of the Trailblazers in an In-Season Tournament matchup against the Jazz.Utah utilized the event to debut its new purple court and uniforms.The Jazz established an early advantage over Portland, which was shorthanded.Given the significance of point differential in the group stage of the In-Season Tournament, Utah sought to maintain its lead and capitalize on its momentum.The Jazz host their inaugural in-season tournament match.As they face the Portland Trail Blazers in an attempt to improve their record to 2-0 in the In-Season Tournament, the Utah Jazz will debut a new apparel and court.On Friday night, the Jazz defeated the Memphis Grizzlies to claim their first victory in cup play.Additionally, with a 1-0 record entering the In-Season Tournament, the Trail Blazers defeated the Grizzlies in overtime on November 3.Following an arduous journey through the Midwest, the Jazz are in pursuit of their first winning sequence of the season when they encounter the Trail Blazers.Before defeating Memphis, the Jazz had suffered their fourth consecutive loss, with three of those losses being decided by 16 points or more.Since last week, the Jazz have been without starting center Walker Kessler due to a diagnosis of a sprained left elbow. Next week, the sophomore big man will be reevaluated.Since replacing Kessler and veteran Talen Horton-Tucker with newcomer Keyonte George and second-year forward Ochai Agbaji in the starting lineup, the team has recorded a 1-1 record.
