In recognition of Jay-Z’s assistance with his taxes, Lil Wayne calls him a “real friend.”
Despite facing several challenges in recent years, Lil Wayne is grateful to have the unwavering support of two extraordinary companions, Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz.
Sunday night in Chicago, during the final performance of his “I Ain’t [expletive] Without You” tour, Lil Wayne, whose stage name is Tunechi, expressed his gratitude to his two closest friends for their financial and artistic support.
“There are individuals like Jay-Z.” He was by my side whenever I required his assistance. “Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely devastated,” Wayne exclaimed to the audience from the stage. Jay requests that I maintain its secrecy. That individual assisted me with my tax preparation. “Everyone, he is an authentic friend of yours.”
Following this, the rapper’s pseudonym, Weezy, expressed gratitude to Swizz Beatz, a producer who is also credited on his hit single “Uproar,” for granting him consistent opportunities to perform rap.
Wayne stated, “There are individuals such as Swizz Beatz who will send me every single beat he produces and demand that I rap on each and every one until I rectify my situation.”
Year after year of anticipation, Cash Money Records and the artist’s tumultuous partnership with Birdman prevented Tunechi from releasing his highly anticipated studio album, “Tha Carter V,” until September.
Throughout their four-year feud, the rapper and Jay-Z alternately criticized one another in their respective albums.
