Cardi B Issues Apology for Hosting a 40-Person Thanksgiving Dinner After Twitter Backlash
Cardi B has encountered criticism following the extravagant Thanksgiving gathering she hosted at her residence, which in spite of the ongoing cоrоnavirus pаndemic, attended by 12 children and 25 adults.The 28-year-old rapper generated controversy on Sunday morning when she disclosed she hosted a gathering of nearly forty people via Twitter, describing the event as “lit.” 

Ahead of Thanksgiving, health officials issued advisories discouraging the hosting of large gatherings, out of concern that the occasion might precipitate an epidemic of the vιrus. 

In response to a succession of critical remarks from her admirers, Cardi expressed regret and released a statement that read, “My mistake.”

Nevertheless, the remorse appeared insincere, as she subsequently claimed that individuals were “exceedingly striving to be offended.” 

According to the CоVID Tracking Project, the number of CоVID-19 patients being treated in hospitals across the United States has nearly doubled in the past month, surpassing 93,238 over the Thanksgiving weekend.

One Twitter user was among those who criticized Cardi, writing, “Therefore, what was the practical reason for specifying the number of attendees at your event?”Recognizing that many individuals were unable to spend time with their families.

“You could have simply stated that you enjoyed the holiday with your loved ones; I’m not even one to troll; rather, I advise you to read the room.”  

Another user tweeted, “I can assure you that it is not worthwhile for the healthcare workers to whom you will rush when you are ill, or anyone else whose lives are impacted by your poor decisions.”

‘Sis One user further stated, “I love you, but anyone acting in this manner during a pаndemic deserves to be dragged.”
