Drake had an astoundingly high number of streams this year.
Hundreds of thousands of fans are sharing the songs they have listened to the most this year because it is Spotify wrapped season. Along with more unique statistics, the 2023 wrapped has standard features like the top songs and performers of a given year. This year’s wrapped includes an explanation of which city best suits your taste in music. Additionally, it includes handwritten notes from more than two dozen musicians to their biggest admirers.
That’s not all of Spotify Wrapped, though. Additionally, artists receive their own Wrapped, which provides statistics on how their music was heard to by people. It’s difficult to find another rapper with more totals than Drake in the genre. This year, he submitted an astounding 11.5 billion streams across all of his credits, surpassing almost all of his peers. It also showed that his music was heard this year by 195.3 million different listeners across 184 different nations. Lastly, it revealed that, only this year, fans listened to Drake’s songs for 631.1 million hours. See all of the statistics down below.
Drake’s enormous hits are largely derived from his album For All the Dogs, which was released earlier in the year. The feature-rich album produced several top 10 hits. “Slime You Out” featuring SZA, “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole, “Rich Baby Daddy” featuring Sexyy Red, and “IDGAF” featuring Yeat are some of its most popular tracks. With his Scary Hours 3 deluxe version, Drizzy expanded the album’s track count to six earlier this month.
Following that release, the album resurfaced at the top of the Billboard 200 for an additional week. Although Taylor Swift eventually took the top spot as the most streamed artist worldwide, Drake’s album was one of the most streamed on the whole Spotify platform this year. Right now, Drizzy is the third-ranked artist worldwide on Spotify, only after The Weeknd and Swift. What are your thoughts on Drake’s Spotify streaming figures for this year?
