A video of Offset and their son Wave going viral gets Cardi B’s attention

Fans praised Offset’s second solo album Set It Off, which debuted on the Billboard 200 last month after being streamed and bought. Set It Off peaked in the top 5 and sold as well as Young Thug and Gunna earlier this year.

After the album’s success, Vevo invited Offset to their ctrl show. He sang “ON THE RIVER” from his new album for the session. It went viral because the rapper’s son Wave was in it. The adorable partnership, in which the two-year-old acts as the rapper’s hype man, went viral. The video was so popular that Wave’s mother Cardi B tweeted about it.

“YEUP !!!!! As he stated…In response to fans discussing the new video, Cardi B tweeted “We call him Wavey, Wavey boy, Wavey man.” After his performance, Offset says “good job Wavey” and she reacts. The sweet moment at the end of the performance captures what people love about it.

Cardi B teased a new album after Offset’s Set It Off’s success. She congratulated him on his album and said it was her “turn” next. She’s said she won’t release a new album this year, but fans have many reasons to expect CB2 in 2024. This year, Cardi crossed the Megan Thee Stallion again with “Bongos” for her latest single.
