Her outfit included a leather trench coat, pearl necklaces, and statement earrings. She wore sunglasses and a low updo. Offset showed off his leather style with a biker jacket and black jeans and t-shirt. He wore sunglasses, thigh-high boots, and gloves to complete his sinister image.

Cardi may be in New York for the 2023 Met Gala on May 1. Cardi wore a gold dress with elaborate embellishments to the 2022 event. Cardi wore matching gloves and a thick necklace to look like she was drenched in jewels. Cardi’s last Met Gala appearance was in 2019, her first.

In the months since his cousin Takeoff was shot and died in November 2022, Cardi has supported Offset. Offset was devastated by Takeoff’s death, even if their relationship seemed strained before. In a Jan. 2023 interview, Cardi described the morning she and Offset realized what happened. ?Offset picked up the phone and he [was] just like, ?Noooo,? and screaming,? she said. ?I said, ?What?s going on?? and he said, ?Takeoff is dead.’?

Cardi said she was ?so scared? by her husband’s reaction and didn’t trust him at first. ?I was just crying so much,? she said. ?It was awful.? Cardi revealed how Takeoff’s loss affected Offset in another interview at the end of November, weeks following his death. ?I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy,? she said. ?Trying to make him smile. He was crying intermittently and attempting to divert himself.?
