Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s kids: Meet Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir

It’s true that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have won more than fifty Grammys between them, but when they’re at home, they’re just parents to three young children.

The pair began the process of expanding their family four years after their wedding, which took place in New York City. The couple married the knot in April of 2008.

The former member of Destiny’s Child said to Anderson Cooper in 2012 that having a daughter provided the artists with a “purpose” in life.

During that time period, Queen Bey expressed her realization that she had “realized why I was born and, more than anything else, all of the things I want to pass onto my child.”

Before the couple received their twins in 2017, the singer known for her hit “Lemonade” expressed her elation to Garage magazine, stating that being a mother was “without a doubt” her “most proud moment.”

Since that time, Blue has been awarded a Grammy for her performance on the song “Brown Skin Girl” and has participated in her mother’s “Renaissance” tour, where she performed dance techniques for significant audiences.

Furthermore, the preteen has modeled for Beyoncé’s Ivy Park line of clothing.

Tina Knowles-Lawson, Blue’s grandmother, describes her as a “makeup guru” who “never ceases to amaze” with her drawing, painting, and piano-playing abilities. Blue describes herself as a “makeup guru.”

Beginning in February of 2017, Beyoncé shocked her Instagram followers by announcing that she was expecting a child.

We would like to feel the joy and love that we have for one another. When she was taking images for her maternity shoot, she captioned them with the phrase, “We have been blessed twice over.”

The news that our family will be expanding by two members is something for which we are quite thankful, and we are grateful for your good wishes.

According to Beyoncé, who later disclosed this information in an interview with Vogue, the couple’s son, Sir, and daughter, Rumi, were born four months later and spent “many weeks in the NICU” before their parents returned home.

In July of 2017, when they were only one month old, the youngest of the children made their first appearance on social media.

Knowles-Lawson referred to Sir as “laidback and chill” in an interview with Us Weekly in 2019, despite the fact that they have largely avoided the public eye since then.
