Tiffany Red thinks Diddy mistreated her friend Cassie and should be held accountable

Sean “Diddy” Combs, her ex-boyfriend of over 10 years, was accused of physical abuse, rape, and sex trafficking by Cassie last month in a federal complaint.

Less than 24 hours after Cassie Ventura filed the case, the two settled for an undisclosed amount. After the settlement, Combs “wishes Ventura nothing but the best,” while his attorney, Ben Brafman, stressed it was “not an admission of wrongdoing.”

Tiffany Red, one of Ventura’s lifelong friends, told NBC News in an exclusive interview on “Top Story with Tom Llamas” on Wednesday that Diddy should be held accountable for his treatment of the singer.

I think a lot of folks, especially in the Black community, have seen the narrative that they’re trying to take down a black man, but that’s not true. This is about responsibility and judgment. Just the bottom line, Red said.

Red penned an open letter in Rolling Stone about her friend’s verbal harassment. Red revealed Diddy and Ventura’s poisonous relationship by saying they became pals and part of her inner group while working on new music.

“I recall Diddy repeatedly calling her while in the car with her… Finally, she answered the phone. I heard him scream for the first time on speakerphone. He asked, ‘B—-, what are you doing?’ She kept hanging up because he was screaming, and he said, ‘Ah, don’t you hang up on me!’ He kept threatening to steal her car, Red alleged.

Red stated Ventura told her she had been abused more than verbally a few months before filing her case. Ventura informed Red of the “freak offs” in her complaint last month.
