Snoop Dogg has joined NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris, adding yet another assignment to his already impressive resume.

The announcement was made on Sunday night, December 31, when the renowned rapper featured alongside a number of Olympians in a promo film that aired during Sunday Night Football’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers.

Snoop will discuss his “unique take” on the events in Paris with NBC Olympics anchor Mike Tirico, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Along with the Olympic games and festivities, he plans to “explore the city’s iconic landmarks and make visits to the athletes, their friends, and families.”

Snoop told the publication, “I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris.” It’s an honoring of talent, commitment, and striving for excellence. There will be some incredible competitions, and I will undoubtedly add my signature Snoop style to the mix.

“It will be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked,” he said. Let’s raise the bar, have fun, and create memories from these games. Let the best players win like gold. Olympic LOVE and peace, ya dig?

“Snoop is already an Olympic gold medal commentator, generating tens of millions of views for his highlights commentary on Peacock of the dressage competition during the Tokyo Olympics,” stated Molly Solomon, executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production. Snoop is now working for us in Paris as our Special Correspondent just because of that performance.

“We’re not sure what the heck will happen every day, but we do know he’ll bring his distinct viewpoint to our reimagined primetime Olympic show.”

T-Pain, who received a mini-fridge full of ice cream from Snoop Dogg last month, joked that he had lost count of the number of projects the rapper was involved in outside of music, just like many others do.
