After months of fan speculation that DDG and Halle Bailey were expecting a son, they have officially confirmed the delivery of a baby boy, whom they have named Halo.
Bailey made the first move with the announcement late on Saturday night, January 6, posting a picture of the pair clutching the infant’s hand while wearing a nаme-badged bracelet on Instagram. A subtle jab at the constant rumors that have been floating around about her over the past few months was included in the caption.
The Little Mermaid star tweeted, “Even though it’s only the first few days of the year, the best thing 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son.” “Halo [smiley face with hearts, baby angel, and star emojis] welcome to the world.” The entire world is clamoring to meet you [black heart, crying, laughing, wink emojis].
Later, DDG shared an image of the same scene taken from a slightly different angle, writing, “my biggest blessing by far [baby emoji, heart emoji] son son.. never been so in love [holding back tears emoji] baby halo.”When Halle Bailey was seen walking behind DDG during a live stream during the summer, there were suspicions that she was pregnant. The pregnancy rumors started because some fans thought she appeared a little heavier in the middle than she has in the past.
Only months after they were said to have split up due to DDG’s alleged infidelity, fans were more persuaded that the long-term couple was expecting their first child together after multiple consecutive red carpet appearances that seemed to cover the singer’s midsection.
When she was seen in Santa Monica, California, in October with an oversized hoodie covering what appeared to be a “baby bump,” the rumors reached a fever pitch. The Chloe x Halle singer quickly became popular on social media when The Shade Room posted pictures taken from Splash News.
The couple uploaded a video on Christmas Day, which many saw as proof that Bailey had given birth to the kid that had been rumored. In the video, the pair is seen preparing cookies for Christmas while wearing their jammies. At one point, Halle straightens her back and gently rises to leave the table, exposing her entire body to the public.Fans found this noteworthy because, despite hiding her tummy for months, she seemed to have no problem flaunting it now since it looked to be rather flat. Fans who have kids of their own commented on Hollywood Unlocked, saying that the Little Mermaid star’s standing position was unmistakable.
“She had that baby, which all mothers know gives up.” Aw, congrats,” someone commented. “That stand up is definitely the postpartum stand up; I have six kids, so I know what’s going on,” another person remarked. Congratulations.
Even still, the two have been downplaying the conversation as late as just this week, with DDG even going so far as to bait followers by embracing the rumors.
The 26-year-old posted a number of mirror images of himself cradling his “daughter” on Snapchat on Wednesday, January 3. The rapper was pictured in one picture cradling a baby doll and in another holding a small kid.
