Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne Unite to Celebrate Young Money Label in Epic Toronto Show

Saturday night in Toronto, the Young Money trio consisting of Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne convened at the Budweiser Stage to honor the label that initiated the group. As part of October World Weekend, the Young Money Reunion performance was initially scheduled for August 1. However, it was postponed several days subsequent to Drake’s positive -19 test result.

Prior to his Young Money counterparts being welcomed onto the stage, Drake addressed some criticism regarding his most recent dance-oriented album, “Honestly, Nevermind,” and performed a few of his more recent tracks.

“[The album] ranks among my all-time greatest works.” I enjoy a challenge. However, I received criticism from a number of individuals who stated, “You know, that’s way too fast, I don’t know…” “With reference to memes and critics who compared the album to the music played in the retailer’s dressing rooms, he stated, ‘You makin’ like Zara music.'”

“I then inquired, ‘Would you prefer that I decelerate it?'” Would you like the former Drake? “That is all you need to say,” he continued as he began to perform “A Keeper” on the piano.

The performance was reportedly delayed by two hours as a result of Wayne’s complications upon his arrival at the Canadian border, as reported by Complex. A display screen on stage read, “Unfortunately, Lil Wayne encountered difficulties at the frontier, prior to his entrance. Drake, fortunately, avoids the boundary.

Each of the three acts was allotted a solo performance period. Minaj and Drake performed “Up All Night” and “Moment 4 Life” together, whereas Wayne and Drake alternated verses for “The Motto” and “Every Girl.” Additionally, the group performed their immensely popular “Bedrock.”

Drake lauded Young Money label founder Wayne in an impassioned address that Complex cited, referring to him as “the greatest rapper of all time.”

He stated, “I would travel to the farthest ends of the earth for this man.” “You forever altered not only my life but also the city itself.”

Wayne announced at the conclusion of the reunion performance that his album “Tha Carter VI” would be available “soon” while displaying the title in enormous letters onstage. According to reports, the album has been in production since 2020 and will be released as a sequel to 2018’s “Tha Carter V.”
