To commemorate the release of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ new album, The Love Album: Off The Grid, Justin Bieber is going back in time.
The “Confident” singer remembered a period before to becoming well-known when he attempted to pitch Diddy his skills but was turned down.
On Thursday night, Bieber said on his Instagram Story, “I remember going to my brother Diddy’s office to pitch him a song I wrote for him when I was like 14, sadly the song was trash haha.”
Sadly, Bieber stated, “it would be a hard no from him.” The Canadian superstar, though, is evidence that a dream postponed need not always be denied.
“A few years ago, Puff requested me to do a freestyle for his next love album. Fast forward to that time. Amazing complete circle moment, I adore you, @diddy,” the 29-year-old said in closing.
Friday saw the debut of Diddy’s latest album, which has a long list of elite performers, including Bieber. The two worked together on the song “Moments”; for the Instagram Story post, Biebs shared a screenshot of the ballad playing on his phone.
The “Hello Good Morning” hitmaker released Press Play, his final album, in 2006.
Apart from Bieber, Diddy enlisted the talents of Fabolous, Jazmine Sullivan, 21 Savage, H.E.R., The Weeknd, Kehlani, Mary J. Blige, and numerous others for The Love Album, which consists of 23 tracks.
The founder of Bad Boy accepted the Global Icon Award on Tuesday at the 2023 VMAs, ahead of the album’s release.
