In her most recent project with Offset, Gunna denies ‘snitching’ allegations

Gunna Refutes ‘Snitching’ Accusations in Latest Collaboration with Offset

Gunna’s trajectory in the music industry has been one of resilience and artistic growth, particularly amidst the legal turmoil faced by his label, YSL, in 2022. Following his release after accepting a plea deal in December 2022 amid a RICO indictment against YSL, Gunna found himself under intense scrutiny, branded as a “snitch” by fans and fellow hip-hop artists.

In his latest collaboration track with Offset titled “Prada Dem,” Gunna directly addresses the allegations of “snitching,” asserting his innocence with the lyrics, “I set the trend, I’m a trendsetter / I’m not a rat, still gettin’ cheddar.”

The ongoing YSL RICO trial, which stands to be Georgia’s longest trial ever, has cast a shadow over the careers of artists like Young TҺug, facing potential consequences of up to 20 years in prison if convicted. Gunna, having accepted a plea deal in the case, admitted guilt to one count of racketeering cоnspiracy.

The release of “Prada Dem” coincides with Gunna’s upcoming tour starting in May, with Offset making an appearance on the track while on tour in support of his latest album, “Set It Off.”

Despite the legal challenges and public backlash, Gunna has continued to forge ahead with his music career, earning critical acclaim for his album “A Gift & a Curse” and collaborating with esteemed artists such as Turbo, Asake, and Vicent Thompson. However, he has faced public condemnation from former associates including Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Drake, and Young TҺug.
